Its Summertime in Missoula and here is one of the best things coming our way. Total Fest brought them out last year and with the upcoming release of Gone by the Dawn on Seattle's Harly Art Shannon and the Clams are back on the road. He Whose Foot is Gored

Thus the story goes......... while loading in the guitarist when navigating the narrow stairwell with a full cab slipped and the amp landed on his foot. To note again this happened while loading in to play. Watching the aftermath, dude was in some serious pain. At which point one local hero came to aid riding his bike home to grab a splint they had.  They returned and splinted the foot and about 15 minutes later He Whose Ox is Gored took the stage. After playing the band went straight to the hospital and found out guitarist Brian McClellan broke two bones in four places in his foot...... This Tuesday April 4th He Whose Ox is Gored comes back to the Palace. Doors open at 9

One day away until bands and masses decent on Missoula for 3 days of rock n roll and debauchery. We are stoked for the 12th year of this rapidly growing event. Every year more submissions come in and more rad bands apply. There has been a song stuck in my head all day thus far and I just thought I would share it with you all. One of my favorite bands from the bay back in the day

Total fest is close upon us all here in Missoula, we will get together August 15th through 17th and revel in rock and hang out with friends, local and afar. That does not mean that nothing is happening prior! Total fest keeps some coming back outside of the Fest. For instance:

Minor Bird goes Gonzo....Chicago at The ZACC basement

Hey Friends, Minor Bird and Gonzo Chicago combine efforts for the first time on Sunday April 21st.

Total Fest 2012 vets Criminal Code come back to Missoula on the tail end of their tour with Big Eyes. Criminal Code made the list of highlights from last years Total Fest so if you missed them here is a reprieve.

Gonzo Chicago has The Funs coming through. Up beat low fi garage rock at it's finest.

Wantage USA's newest label addition Needlecraft and Minor Bird's King Elephant come out in support.

All this takes place at The Zacc Gallery on Missoula's North side. The Zacc is beginning to have shows again. All shows are All Ages. Address is 235 North 1st Street just down the road from the Northside Kettlehouse taproom. Doors at 7 show starts at 8 and cost is....$5 for all.

Total Fest survivors...feed your hunger for more ROCK!

As though we could not get enough this August- Missoula keeps serving up more. Total Fest is over and not many people seem to be out and about. Some are broke, some are still hung over and some are just plum worn out. Well rest up because Missoula is not quitting yet.

TOTAL FEST alumni Muhamadali are coming back. Last time here they played The Missoula Art Museum with Japanther and blew many the minds.
