One day away until bands and masses decent on Missoula for 3 days of rock n roll and debauchery. We are stoked for the 12th year of this rapidly growing event. Every year more submissions come in and more rad bands apply. There has been a song stuck in my head all day thus far and I just thought I would share it with you all. SIB feature Tim who played drums in the band The Lillingtons and toured with The Eyeliners.  SIB are aggressive yet melodic punk with  and edgier vocals than you would come to expect when hearing the term melodic with punk. Check them out using the link above or the video below. Bill Stevenson was at the helm of their new recording. These guys are constantly mentioned in the vein of OFF and Strike Anywhere.

Big Eyes in the wake of Sled Island

Calgary Aberta was hit with a flood and have suggested the evacuation of over 100,000 people. With the ensuing catastrophe this years Sled Island Festival came to a halt and bands were left scrambling as well. As with our friends in Minot, ND we send out our sympathy to all the people that are put out and unfortunate.

Big Eyes from Seattle who played Zoo City Apparel at last years Total Fest are heading back home and have decided to stop in Missoula and play at The ZACC Beleow. Here is a link to their Sled Island announcement:

Monday April 15th/ Loma Prieta/ Night Nurses/Agatha/ King Elephant

It is getting close to summer here in Missoula and you can tell as the bands start to make their drives from coast to coast. We here at MBR are getting really excited.

For instance on MONDAY APRIL 15th the bay area's LOMA PRIETA are trekking through. Loma Prieta have been through Missoula before and are not new to the road. They are on their fourth album and are definitely going to kick us all in the teeth when they flip the switch on their amps.

We have combined efforts with WANTAGE USA who were working on a show for NIGHT NURSES out of Denver. Night Nurses played a show in Denver this last November with UZI Rash. If the stars had aligned and a drummer came forth our own Bird's Mile Home would be playing this show in support of this band.

Then we get the info our friends at Rumbletowne's Agatha are looking for a show on the same day. Well folk's we have thrown it all together with the help of the Ole Beck VFW and KBGA college radio to bring you a solid night of rock n' roll.

Missoula and Minor Bird artist King Elephant will be taking the floor this night so come out, have fun and support DIY music in Montana. None of this is possible without all of your continued support.

Here is a link to the Facebook event if you like.....KBGA presents.

Also, Thanks to An Anneke creation for another sweat poster!

Make sure to check out the links above and the video's below. SEE YOU AT THE SHOW!

TONIGHT:Missoula's Needlecraft throws down some wax

The lovely ladies, oh wait, who is this guitarist....rather.... Our friends in Needlecaraft are releasing a LP through our pals at Wantage USA.  Needlecraft are one of our favorite bands in Missoula. They are personable, approachable, friendly, supportive, DIY as all hell and if it wasn't for Wantage this site would probably not exist.

We can't wait to see how DIY this record is..... they will be touring this summer in support of this release so come out and help a Missoula band and our friends move some records and save up to head east in a few months.

See you at the show!
